St Louis home care services

What is home care?

If you prefer to stay in the comfort of your own home as you get older, home care provides the support structure to help you live the life you want. Our clients live at home for longer with support to maintain household chores leaving more time for activities they enjoy. Our qualified and experienced carers work in partnership with you, to create a plan that you’re guiding to meet your needs. We look after people throughout Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Help at home is either government funded through My Aged Care or privately funded.

Funding Options

You may be able to access St Louis Home Care services in Adelaide or Victor Harbor for free or subsidised under the Australian Government My Aged Care scheme. Here's how:

Federally funded

Step 1

Find out if you're eligible

Find out if you're eligible

To be eligible for subsidised packages, you must first be assessed by the Australian Government Aged Care Assessment Team. This straightforward process can be easily arranged by asking your GP or hospital discharge unit for an ACAT assessment. If you're eligible, your ACAT Assessment report will detail the level of government-subsidised package you're entitled to, either;

Level 1-2 low care packages or

Level 3-4 high-care packages.

Step 2

Meet with St Louis - We can come to you!

So that we can get to know you and learn about your specific care needs, our care coordinators can visit your home in Adelaide or the Fleurieu Peninsula. We’ll meet you and your family members or friends to talk about how we can help you. Our experienced team of care coordinators will answer any questions you or your family have.

Once you're happy to proceed, we'll need a copy of your ACAT Assessment so we can start working with you to develop a program of care that helps you to live the life you want at home. Your services can commence immediately once we receive your approval to proceed.

Privately funded

Not eligible for federally-funded care services? You can still access St Louis Home Care services as a privately-funded client through our innovative St Louis Lifestyle Programme.

St Louis lifestyles is a fee-for-service care program where support is arranged on an as-needs basis. This means you’re only charged for the services you receive, from simple tasks to help with everyday care at home, to more complex support such as 24 hour care to keep you living at home.

You don't need an ACAT Assessment to access St Louis Lifestyles and there are no eligibility criteria. There are also no waiting lists, so we can start delivering your services you need as soon as you need them.
