This organisation recognises its obligation to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles including the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Bill 2012. The organisation acknowledges and is committed to meeting its obligations under those principles to its clients, staff, contractors and the Community.
The organisation has established and will maintain systems relevant to the collection, use and disclosure, quality, security, accuracy and correction of personal information provided to the organisation in all areas of its operations and Practice. St Louis only collects and stores information relevant to provision of care to its clients. Information is only collected, held and distributed for the purposes of care and service provision to clients. Information is only collected directly from clients or their health professionals with the consent of the client and is securely stored on site or in our archive facility. A client may access information held about them in accordance with their Service Agreement with St Louis. An individual may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Complaints procedure detailed in St Louis' Service Agreements.
Information is not disclosed to other people or organisations without the consent of the client. St Louis does not provide information to other people or organisations overseas without the consent of the client and then only for care related purposes.
