July 2017, Nursing Home News

I can not believe we are half way through the year already, 2017 is certainly going very fast. We’ve been lucky to have Helen from the community come in to help out and join in our activities.

Anna has been leading our exercises classes. Elastic resistance bands have been introduced and are very popular.

July’s activity program in the Nursing Home is full of variety and entertainers. On Friday the 7th we have Dressed 4 Success home shopping. They are regulars at St Louis and bring in some lovely women’s fashions for our ladies to browse and purchase if they wish.

On Wednesday the 12th we have seated line dancing. We have only done this once before and it was very popular with those attending having a wonderful time.

On Friday the 21st we have Sandi McMenamin who is a brilliant pianist and singer. On Friday the 28th we have a large group of students from Glenunga High school who are coming to do a concert and then chat with our residents.

The weather has been very kind to us and the bus trips continue to go twice a week. Morning melodies being a very popular event at the Eastwood Community Centre.

Our footy tipping competition is becoming very competitive and there is not much gap between scores. As long as the Crows can stay in that top 4, preferably on top I’ll be happy!
