Situated in the leafy and tranquil suburb of Parkside in Adelaide, St Louis’ Nursing Home has been caring for South Australians for more than 70 years. With a close-knit family of 45 residents, our nursing home is a comfortable and happy home for the St Louis community – residents, their families and our staff.
With one of the highest carer to resident ratios in Adelaide, our carefully selected in-house staff provide experienced, individualised and around-the-clock care.
Even more importantly, they provide warmth and companionship which is why it feels like home.
We work closely with our residents and their families to identify individual care needs.

Our nursing home is an accredited ‘Extra Service’ residence which means we provide a significantly higher level of aged care services to our residents. These extra services are included as part of our normal service delivery.

Why our nursing home feels like home
Feel like you’re at home in our light-filled residence
Our nursing home is located in Parkside, Adelaide. Residents enjoy social activities in our spacious living areas. Our courtyard garden is a lovely place to sit and read a book, enjoy the sun, and chat with friends and family. Our resident cats Percy and Poppy are always available for a pat.
Sleep peacefully in our spacious rooms
Our single rooms are modern, spacious and fully furnished. They each have a state-of-the-art Wibo bed and pumpless air mattress, a private ensuite, individually-controlled air conditioning, smart TV’s and garden views. We encourage our residents to bring their own belongings and make their rooms feel like home.
Maintain health and wellbeing with our lifestyle and activity programs
At St Louis, we're redefining aged care and what it means to be in a nursing home. We offer a range of exercise and artistic programs aimed at ensuring our residents are engaged in a variety of fun, and intellectually stimulating activities.
Our swimming program was recently awarded the DRTA 2019 Award for Excellence. Our staff are committed to helping our residents live a fulfilling life and we will do everything we can to ensure they enjoy their time here.
Stay socially active with our weekly outings
Regular social outings to cafes, libraries, cinemas, shows, museums and other local community clubs enable our residents to stay connected with their community. We have our own buses and take residents out to places they enjoy weekly.
We welcome family members and friends to join us on these outings.
Enjoy a choice of nutritious meals
Our nutritious menu offers a range of delicious and dietitian-approved meals for our residents. All meals are freshly prepared onsite by in-house St Louis chefs. Specific dietary requirements are easily accommodated. Bottled wine, beer and other drinks are offered with lunch and dinner in our lovely dining room overlooking a leafy courtyard.

We encourage our residents to stay connected to their local community and the social activities they have always enjoyed. Public transport, shops and local community centres are all nearby. Family and friends are welcome to visit any time and we welcome pets too.
